Following the extraordinary success of The Artist’s Lab Broadway & West End Experience in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025, we are proud to announce the return of our flagship intensive program for 2026 in Sydney, Australia.
The Broadway & West End Experience is an exclusive multi day training program designed for performers who are serious about their craft and committed to developing the skills required to work at a professional international level.
This immersive experience offers aspiring performers the rare opportunity to train directly with industry leading creatives connected to Broadway, the West End, Opera Australia and major global productions.
Open to singers, actors and dancers of all levels, this program is designed to challenge, inspire and elevate artists at every stage of their training.
What Is the Broadway & West End Experience?
The Broadway & West End Experience is a five day intensive workshop tailored for musical theatre performers aged 12 years and over.
Across five focused and immersive days, participants receive elite level training in:
- Musical theatre dance and choreography
- Singing and specialist vocal technique
- Acting through song and character development
- Audition technique and professional presentation
The program culminates in a professional showcase performance, presented in front of Australian and international producers, directors, casting agents, and musical supervisors.

What Will You Learn?
Daily classes and sessions throughout the week include:
Musical Theatre Singing & Vocal Technique
Specialist vocal technique classes focusing on healthy, sustainable musical theatre singing. Participants will gain a clear understanding of what to expect from professional vocal lessons and how to apply technique effectively in rehearsal, audition and performance settings.
Each participant will also receive a private one on one vocal lesson during the week.Musical Theatre Dance & Choreography
Learn iconic ensemble choreography drawn from major musical theatre repertoire, including excerpts from Andrew Lloyd Webber productions, alongside contemporary interpretations of musical theatre style. Classes are led by West End and Broadway choreographers, focusing on precision, musicality, performance quality and professional execution.
Acting Through Song
Develop character, emotional depth and storytelling skills under the guidance of Australia’s leading performers and acting practitioners. Learn how to connect text, music and intention to deliver authentic and compelling performances.
Audition Technique & Theatre Etiquette
Understand what casting panels expect in professional musical theatre auditions, including how to prepare material, present yourself in the room, and navigate industry standards. Learn essential theatre etiquette, rehearsal protocols and professional behaviour required in major productions.
Industry Insight & Career Pathways
Engage directly with senior producers from Opera Australia, one of Australia’s largest musical theatre producing companies, who will provide guidance on how performers gain access to auditions and professional opportunities. Participants will also speak with international directors and industry creatives about career pathways and working at a global level.
Agent Application Masterclasses
Learn how to apply for representation with clarity and confidence, including what agents look for, how to present yourself professionally, and how to stand out in a competitive industry.
Showcase Preparation & Performance
The week culminates in a professional showcase performance, where participants will present:
Group ensemble numbers developed during the week
A solo item of their choice, refined through coaching
The showcase is performed in front of a prestigious panel of Australian and international industry professionals, offering invaluable performance experience and exposure.

Age Eligibility
Open to performers aged 12 years and over from all levels of proficiency.
Scholarships & Financial Support:
- 2 x Financial Hardship Scholarships: Available for regional and First Nations applicants. Proof of financial hardship (e.g., Centrelink statement, letters of support) required. 17-35 years of age
Funding for Travel & Accommodation:
